I'm a sucker for children's stuff and I'm always picking up vintage toys, cards and little books that my kids used to enjoy reading. That's where Santi's newest book will come in handy for me and others who love these little colorful, fun books.
Warman's Children's Books is a perfect companion book to Santi's earlier book Warman's Little Golden Books Identification and Price Guide. The book is similar in design, also has clear color photographs (over 2700!) and covers the major publishers of children's books.
This book has a section on Little Golden Books, but also describes and pictures other books from Whitman including the Tell-A-Tale Books and Fuzzy Wuzzy books. Additional sections include books from Rand McNally, Wonder Books, Treasure Books, Jolly Books, Little Owl Books, Pied Piper Books and Star-Bright Books.
Description:
- Over 2700 color photographs
- Photos include values, dates and illustrator
- Company history is included at the front of each section
- Learn how to grade and value books
Like Santi's previous book Warman's Little Golden Books, this book was also a trip down memory lane for me. His expertise on the subject is evident and makes for a book to be enjoyed for it's pictures and history, as well as being a valuable guide for pricing.
If you're looking for a fun and affordable collection, colorful children's books are perfect. They're fun, inexpensive, easy to store and not too hard to find! But before you start buying books, learn what to look for and what the price ranges should be by checking out Santi's two books.
