The NBA's Orlando Magic will be giving away McFarlane Toys 3-inch Steve Francis figures sponsored by Discount Mattress Barn to the first 5,000 fans through the gates for the Feb. 13, home game against the New Orleans Hornets.
This Francis giveaway will be the first for the team. The Magic will be honoring the league's history with a Hardwood Classics night. Francis and the team will be wearing throwback jerseys from the 1994-95 season, the first year the team made the NBA finals. The McFarlane Toys Francis figure will also be wearing the Hardwood Classics jersey from that night.
We are excited to be one of the first NBA teams to partner with McFarlane Toys, said Shawn Bennett, marketing and game operations manager for the Magic. The lines at the gates are sure to be long for this unique collectible.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. and doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are still available for this game through ticketmaster.com or by calling 1800-4NBATIX.
This is the second NBA team promotional giveaway for McFarlane Toys. The Houston Rockets gave away 3-inch Yao Ming figures to excited fans in their final home game last season.
McFarlane Toys stadium and arena giveaways have been making a huge impact for teams nationwide. As a licensee for MLB, the NFL, NHL and NBA, McFarlanes Sports Picks are unique authentic collectibles that draw fans to the game.
