Early Bird Admittance

It was a first time experience for me, visiting the Palmer/Wirfs Antiques and Collectible Show in Portland Oregon. I've heard about it for years, but nothing is like seeing the real thing! Palmer Wirfs offers an "early bird" admittance on Friday (dealer set-up day) for $30. "Thinking" that the dealers would not be set up until mid-afternoon, we showed up around lunchtime. Not only were all the dealers completely set up, the aisles were full of shoppers and it looked like a regular show day. Next time, we go earlier.

And if I thought the crowd was good on Friday, Saturday was even more amazing. The aisles were literally full of people. In fact the show gets so busy that Palmer/Wirfs has free shuttle buses that literally run all day during the show, since the parking lots on the grounds don't hold all the cars. Many of the hotels also have shuttle buses that go back and forth during the day.
