Just the name Kovel on a collectible or antique book is usually reason enough to buy it, but this book will go beyond your expectations. Chock full of resources for collectors of everything from Advertising Collectibles to Writing Utensils -- sixty different categories. Each section typically has a description and background of the collectible, a paragraph or two about repairs, as well as resources for clubs, publications, museums, appraisers, and auction houses that specialize in that particular collectible.
One of the most important parts of the book is the general information for collectors who might want to sell their collections. The Kovels give several alternatives for the would-be seller to explore, along with pricing strategy. What makes an item worth more, and how there is not always one correct price.
